Fatal Accident Near My Home

I knew something was very wrong on the freeway this morning. My two-lane road was bumper to bumper and that only happens if there’s a serious crash. But it was far worse than I knew. Please pray for everyone involved.

    1. When I saw cars backed up out front I knew it was bad. That was this morning. And this afternoon my son and I had to go uptown to get duck feed and there was STILL a sheriff’s car blocking the on ramp. It didn’t open until nearly 11 pm!
This is especially sad coming at this time of year. My heart is just broken for all those families who lost someone.

      1. Thank you, Camie! Everyone in the village was talking about it! We have one traffic light so it really backed up everything in the village. I heard the cafe was offering free coffee to drivers held up by the accident. I’m sure some of those people were very late getting home!

    1. I was instantly concerned when I got up and saw the weather. We get a lot of black ice on the freeway because of all the open fields around here. Our stretch of freeway and MI23 are the worst. There are SO many accidents but rarely one like this!

    1. There was one poor man who tried to save someone who ultimately passed away. I can’t imagine how he must feel. And people said they were terrified because, although they’d survived the initial impact, they thought each subsequent one might kill them.

  1. That was awful. Prayers for the families.
We live around there too and use 96 a lot. There are way too many accidents not only on 96 but also on 127, 94, 496… I do remember a MSU student was killed by an accident around there on 96 in September. I always wonder why because those are pretty easy roads to drive. Also this time the snow wasn’t only the cause of the accident I guess. So sad..
