You may have noticed I didn’t post anything yesterday. And I probably won’t be posting for a little while. I’ll be seeing you but it may be a week or more. At least I have a good excuse!
For the past couple of weeks I’ve been experiencing worsening pain in my upper abdomen. I went to the doctor on Monday and he ordered stat blood tests and an ultrasound.
Unfortunately, I’d eaten breakfast so they couldn’t do the ultrasound. But today (Tuesday) they did and it looks like I’m going to have to have my gallbladder removed. Good. I don’t like it any more.
Sure, it’s cute and tries to help but the pain it’s causing is ridiculous!
I’ll try to keep you updated. I even thought of asking if they could film the surgery so I could put it on You tube! My innards could be an Internet sensation! I’ll miss you all.
Wishing you all the best with your surgery, and a speedy recovery!!! ❤

Thank you. I really do want them to move on it. I don’t have time to lie around.

Stones are good on your fingers and in your ears, preferably a few carats each and gold-cased. Who needs them in your gallbladder? I’ll be praying for your successful surgery and easy and speedy recovery!

LOL That’s why I love you! I wonder if I can have rings made.

Just make sure the nurses don’t grab those stones while you are under!

This thing is turning into a real pain! They decided it’s not my stupid gallbladder and so I had to rush all the way to Ann Arbor so they could do another test. I couldn’t even wait until tomorrow! I was hoping to get that ring!

The ring is waiting for you at the end of the rainbow, but what are they suspecting now?

He won’t say. And I’m still waiting for the results if the rush test.

With G-d’s help, it will turn out to be good – my prayers are with you!

It still hurts like h*ll but that will resolve itself. Of course I just couldn’t keep myself from sharing the initial story so now I’m stuck telling everyone what’s wrong. I think I’ll leave the Internet forever. LOL

I will take the last statement as a joke, but don’t jinx yourself, please! Internet will be boring without you.

I know I won’t leave the Internet. Heck. I couldn’t even stay away when I should have stayed quiet! lol I just can’t wait until I feel up to actually cooking again.

And when will that be? What do the drs say?

I have to be on medicine for about 4 days and he thinks that will fix it. It’s all because of the spinal cord injury and the medications I’ve been on for 17 years. They caused a nerve (or nerves) to get really slow and stop telling things what to do. I wish I had known. I’m GREAT at telling things what to do. Ask my husband and kids!

As my grandmother used to say, a man is a head of his house, and his wife is a neck. Wherever the neck turns, the head looks.
I am glad ti hear that it was a false alarm.

Yep! No surgery. If it doesn’t resolve by Monday I have to see a GI specialist but I’m sure it will.

With your attitude, you just tell it to resolve, and it will, without a doubt.

Given how easy a child I was I’m surprised they didn’t opt to drown me in a bucket!

Well, they say a good scare acts like a tonic. My parents never really needed a vacation thanks to me!

I am sure! I, on the contrary, grew up mainly with the grandmother who ruled the roost by speaking only in whispers and forbid adults to say “no” to children. This doesn’t mean she was indulging us; she simply offered a choice of more attractive alternatives. As a result, when I went away to college at the age of 15, I was already in a habit of looking for fun in the right, rather than the wrong, places. When I came home in the morning, it was because I was working (honestly!), and a bottle of wine (or two) did not count.

Of course it didn’t count! My only real problem was an inability to look at my watch. I was forever way past curfew!

Hubby and sister both had theirs removed 2 years ago. That little thing is painful when it’s acting up. Praying for a speedy recovery. I’ll miss you 🙂

I’m still waiting for them to decide what they’re going to do. I actually hope they take it. I’m tired of being in pain and getting sick. Let’s just do this!

I don’t blame you, it’s painful. Hubby never complains and it knocked him down. They did emergency surgery that day. Scared me to death. He said he has never hurt that bad ever in his life. I am with you, there’s no need for you to suffer, when they can just remove it.

Hope everything goes smoothly and you’re up and at ’em before you know it! It’s going to take more this to slow you down. Hugs!!!!!!

Oh dear, well ((hugs)) to you and I hope it helps you feel better! I once had an endoscopy done because of pain I was having and they said I could have my gall bladder removed but it might or might not help with the pain I was having – they weren’t sure…i was like, um well I don’t really want to have surgery for nothing! 😛 Turns out, it was actually stress. I literally hurt when stressed. 😦
