A while back Pete brought us a chicken pizza with Alfredo sauce. I expected not to like it but I did. Chicken in Sun dried Tomato Alfredo Sauce is a way to get those same flavors in a delicious, easy to prepare meal!

Thank you! It really is tasty and even my husband, who still has trouble with his sense of taste, enjoys it!

Yum! Roasted garlic is one of my favourite things (and so easy to make!). I’m not a fan of sundried tomatoes though, unfortunately. Maybe I’ll try this without them. Hum…but then, they probably help balance things out. Thanks for sharing!

I make it for our youngest son without them because he doesn’t like tomatoes either. I just put a splash of tomato sauce in it so it has the flavor without the texture. He’ll eat tomato sauce so he loves it that way.

Thank you! Just between you and me I always make a little extra fettuccine so I can have it with the sauce for lunch the next day!

The next time hubby is home I am definitely making this. I just learned how to make an easy Alfredo sauce and might try using my homemade instead. Does the Newmans thicken up, after it sits, like homemade Alfredo sauce?

It’s a really nice Alfredo sauce! It comes out of the jar thick and, if you drain the sun dried tomatoes well, it stays nice and thick. I’ll have to make some homemade again when I feel better and compare them. I love the Newman’s Own brand but there’s nothing like homemade!

This Alfredo recipe was so easy, I figured there was no way it would be good but it was great! The reason I asked if it gets thick is because the easy one I made gets really, really thick once it has been in the fridge over night. So, a sauce that doesn’t get as thick might work better since there are larger chicken pieces.

I thought it was just right. If I didn’t have the sun dried tomatoes I might put a little olive oil in.
