I admit, in most ways, I’m not a fan of worms. When we go fishing I still prefer my son baits my hook. And if I see a worm on the surface of a street I get the shudders. But in my vegetable garden I’m thrilled to see lots of these wonderful creatures in the soil. Making your own worm farm is easy and inexpensive!

I knew nothing about the worms. This is amazing. Thanks for sharing this, when I can get my garden going again this is going to come in handy 🙂

They really are fantastic for gardens. I bought night crawlers and put them in my gardens.

When our life gets back normal, and I can plant our garden, I’m doing this. Thank you 🙂

I know exactly what you’re talking about. When I discovered the earthworm makes the soil loosen, I move them place to place!

I’m very careful about the worms in my garden. I try very hard not to injure them. Worms are great for any kind of garden!

Exactly. Poor little things can’t exactly run away from danger!

That’s when I got my hands in the soil. It feels so good!

Gardening is really hard for me because of my disability but I LOVE the feel of the soil, the scenes of things growing, the sun on my skin, and especially eating what I grow!

Yes, eating what I grow! Just enjoy what you could do!

Mr. C loves hearing that he’s eating our own produce.

I knew that worms were beneficial, but I had no idea they were this beneficial! We usually put old vegetables and coffee grounds directly in the garden to compost, but it doesn’t decompose well. Now I know why. XD I like worms. I’d love to try this! I’m always rescuing the poor things when I dig in the soil.

I an so careful about digging so I don’t hurt them.

Me too! 🙂
I’ve seen them on top of the soil in places after a rain, trying their best not to drown. I pick them up and put them on higher ground – in my garden.

We don’t have sidewalks out here but I check the puddles around the driveway and the low ground in the grove. We’re the worm rescuers!

I don’t have sidewalks out here either – I find them on the dirt paths and sometimes, I find some when my dog digs a new hole. XD
Yes! Worm Rescuers! 😀

It took me a while to locate some red wigglers, but finally found that Walmart sells them as fishing bait. I rescued 30 of them so I could try this. 😀 So far, it seems to be going well but the worms aren’t eating the veggies fast enough. XD They need to multiply faster! And maaaaaaybe I need to stop playing with them. 😂

LOL You should probably find different pets. If they’re not finishing (or nearly finishing) the food don’t add more. It takes a while for them to multiply and to make enough castings for you to notice. You have to bee patient. LOL ME recommending patience!

Haha, I know, right? I have other pets, but red wigglers were new to me, and they felt really weird when in my hand. 😂
Thanks for the advice! Haha, at this point, my mom is freezing their food for later. XD
LOL! Patience? I have a plaque on my wall that describes it pretty well – “Lord, grant me patience – but hurry!” 😂

I hate the feeling of worms. I make Pete bait my hook when we go fishing. He has to do it even though he gets impatient because you have to do what your mom asks, right?
I pray, “God, please give me patience. Now!”

I don’t mind the feeling of worms, but I wouldn’t want to bait the hook either. I like live worms, not injured and about to get eaten ones. XD
LOL! He better!
Yes, exactly! 😂
