Having an empty nest allows me to cook food that may be too spicy or exotic for kids. But Pete and Andi’s youngest daughter comes for dinner frequently and I sometimes I like to make meals geared specifically to the taste of an 8 year old child when she eats here. Tonight Estrella will be having dinner with us so I’m making Bowtie Pasta & Ham with Cream Sauce.

Looks great – always a challenge to cook for a young one

Thank you! It was a hit. That particular child eats almost everything unless it’s super spicy. In fact, the only grandchild we have that won’t eat is a step who was allowed to dictate what she would and wouldn’t eat practically from birth!

This looks amazing. I love just about anything with pasta BUT I can’t get to the actual page. When I click the link(that is under the picture and titled Bowtie Pasta & Ham with Cream Sauce” ) “http://wp.me/p81Z67-1tK” which usually takes me to your blog page and gives me the whole blog, it takes me to your blog page but today says “Oops page not found” Maybe it’s my wordpress which is acting slow and weird this morning. I will come back and try again later.

Okay. You should be able to get the recipe now. I apologize. The post was scheduled but for some reason it chose not to publish.

Well, the cream does push it to the less healthy side but it really is good!
