Fungus Amungus with Creeping Crud

This summer has been absolutely wonderful and, at the same time, not the best summer of my life. A perfect example of this is happening right now. The weekend began seemingly innocently. Friday night I got a sore throat. It was no big deal, really. On Saturday we attended our granddaughter’s 12th birthday party. It was so much fun and we stayed through the bonfire that evening. About 30 minutes after getting home I found I have Fungus Amungus with Creeping Crud.

  1. Wow, I’m sorry you have to put up with that for so long! 😜 First glance, I would have agreed with you – poison ivy.

Why do people think they are being so helpful by telling us not to scratch?! When I got chicken pox years ago, everyone was telling me the same thing, “Don’t scratch!” But it itched; what did they expect me to do about it?!

I’ll be praying for you! ❤

    1. Thank you, Grace. I noticed HE was scratching his poison ivy. LOL But he’s been waiting on me hand and foot, went to three stores to find the stuff I wanted, and let’s me say, “It ITCHES!” without telling me to shut up. I’ve got it made!

  2. Sorry, Elizabeth, to find out you suffered so much and have at least a week to go through that. Take whatever the doc prescribe to stop the itch and hoping it will get better every day! My husband had something like that but it was not all over his body. Pray that it will go away very soon.

    1. Thank you, Miriam. I’m strange. I fractured my pelvis and it took weeks for the doctor to realize something was very wrong. I didn’t complain. But if I hurt myself or get sick in some little way you’d think I was dying. lol

      1. Don’t overlook any pain! Seriously, the body gives you signals. The Almighty has a way to show you something needs attention. It took my hysterectomy to discover my stage IV melanoma cancer in 2008. So let the doctor tells you that you’re okay.

  3. Oh honey, I am praying for you! I am happy to see it’s not hurt your humor though :):) You had me in stitches, and it was much needed. :):) Oatmeal bathes are what seemed to help us best when itchy stuff happens. The Benadryl too, I can’t take it but it helps the men folk around here.

    1. The doctor said it’s a viral rash. It itched like crazy! Then it would burn. The worst thing is that it made my joints in my hands, wrists, elbows, and ankles swell up and ache. I still can’t open a jar by myself. But it’s MUCH improved.
