Ballymurrin Play Area

Things have really moved along quickly on Ballymurrin lately. Mr. Comfortable has been spending his days outside working hard to finish Ballymurrin Quacker Farmstead while the weather is still warm. The cabin is done. Now it’s time to finish the Ballymurrin Play Area!

I'm a wife, mom, and grandma (known as Bam) who loves cooking, baking, gardening, and all things that go into making a cozy coop for my brood. I have a disability so you may pick up tips on how to do things when some things just don't work right!

  1. Great stuff! Curious what is your plan for draining the pool (as I see it’s “in-ground”) – is there a drain on it I just can’t see from here? That’s our biggest annoyance as duck owners since as you know they are famous for mucking up their pools in an instant, and would love to hear what you’re doing!

    1. My husband is going to use an electric pump. Next year he wants to install a little filter. By the time he’s done the pool will be hated with a floating bar. He loves those ducks!

      1. Well I think most of the stuff in the water is sediment from drinking and eating out of the tub, with a light sprinkling of doo-doo, that’s probably why it’s not awful. We put their used up straw from the coop onto the grounds rather than in the garden which probably is hotter than the tub water 🙂
