My slow cooker hasn’t gotten as much of a workout this summer. I haven’t spent as much time outside so I’ve neglected the poor thing! But I’m making up for it with my Maple Balsamic Slow Cooker Pork Chops!These pork chops turn out so tender and delicious and I don’t have to spend a lot of time getting everything into the slow cooker! They’re a family favorite and I know you’ll love them!

It was hot yesterday. The actual temperature was 91 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s 32.7778 Celsius for those of you who measure that way. I didn’t want to grill outside. Standing over a flame held zero appeal. And I didn’t want to turn on the oven either. So I decided to pull out my slow cooker and make Marinated Slow Cooker Chuck Roast.

When I woke up I knew it was going to be a lazy day. The sun was already well up in the sky and when I looked at my clock it was nearly 8 a.m.! I decided instantly to make Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches. They’re delicious and they don’t take a lot of effort so they were perfect for a take-it-easy kind of day!

A funny thing happened that made me decide to make my Simple Slow Cooker Pot Roast for dinner. Andi had loaned me her DVDs for “Desperate Housewives.” I’d never watched it and Andi was sure I’d find it funny. I did but a couple of lines in the series made Mr. C snicker. He didn’t laugh. He snickered. And it was then that I knew I needed to make Simple Slow Cooker Pot Roast.
Tacos made with ground beef are good but Slow Cooker Shredded Beef Tacos are the best! The meat is tender and the seasonings give it a spicy kick. Topped with crispy lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream it’s a Mexican meal that will have you saying “Delicioso!”

This week I decided to take it easy making our weekly dinner with Pete’s family. And there’s not much easier than putting everything into the slow cooker and walking away! I love my slow cooker! I’m making the meal here and I can carry the slow cooker to Pete’s. The lid on my slow cooker locks so I don’t even have to worry about spills in the car! Lately I’ve seen a lot of recipes for whole chickens cooked in a slow cooker. This seemed like a great idea. Since fall has officially begun, although today’s temperature is 85°, I decided to start thinking ahead. Halloween will be here before we know it and I was thinking about some fun Halloween party treats.
