Pan-seared Delmonico Steak

We don’t have steak very often. But when I get my hands on a thick steak I’m in red meat heaven! I don’t like to mask the flavor of the meat with a lot of seasoning. When Mr. C got a really thick Delmonico steak I just had to prepare it simply! I made Pan-seared Delmonico Steak and the result was wonderful!

Sheet Pan Shrimp & Vegetables

Shrimp is something at least most of my family will still eat. So when I was trying to come up with a meal for our family dinner I decided the safest and tastiest bet was Sheet Pan Shrimp & Vegetables. Everyone except Jami and John eats shrimp! And everyone likes vegetables. Well, Estrella has no choice about eating them but the rest of us like them!

Shrimp & Mushrooms in Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce

I’ve been keeping busy for the last few days with projects outside of the kitchen. While it’s been kind of nice not to have to devote a lot of time to cooking I miss the meals. So last night I decided to pull my apron back on and make Shrimp & Mushrooms in Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce. It’s a delicious meal full of hearty flavors that will satisfy any “real meal” cravings!

Marinated Slow Cooker Chuck Roast

It was hot yesterday. The actual temperature was 91 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s 32.7778 Celsius for those of you who measure that way. I didn’t want to grill outside. Standing over a flame held zero appeal. And I didn’t want to turn on the oven either. So I decided to pull out my slow cooker and make Marinated Slow Cooker Chuck Roast.

Kicked Up Chicken Fried Steak

From the time I was a little girl I’ve had a love affair with chicken fried steak. It’s definitely one of my top comfort foods! I love that I can make it as simple or as complex as I like and still have the same “Oh this is yummy” feeling about it. Since Mr. Comfortable and I have been on a spicy food kick lately I decided to make Kicked Up Chicken Fried Steak to satisfy both the comfort food and spicy food cravings!

Southwest Cheeseburger Casserole

Summer barbecues are one of my favorite things and we pretty much all love a good cheeseburger. But the weather here has been extremely hot and the humidity is, in a word, ridiculous. The idea of standing over a flaming grill isn’t really appealing right now. So, to get the flavors without the heat I made Southwest Cheeseburger Casserole. It’s full of good old American flavors that we all enjoy, without all that standing outside in the 97° heat.
