My older son does all the cooking for a social club in which he and his fiancé are members. Every Friday the club holds a dinner to raise funds and a couple of weeks ago I asked what he was making that night. He told me the usual Polish favorites and Beef Manhattans. Beef Manhattans? I love when something that’s so simple can sound fancy. Beef Manhattan is simply a hot roast beef sandwich, traditionally served with mashed potatoes and gravy.
