We’ve been fighting our usual Michigan weather to start building the cabin for Freckles and Penguin. One day it’s 70 degrees and sunny and the next it’s 45 degrees and raining. But we have had enough nice days that we’re finally able to begin working on the duck cabin!

Having had my farm I was ahead if the game but I still had to research ducks. We have had chickens since the kids were little. Ducks are new.

This is exciting. The drawing made me smile because that’s what we always do, draw anything out. Usually 2 drawing. I draw that I want, then hubby will use that same graph paper and draw the “construction” version. I always laugh because my drawing looks like the drawing you have on the bottom. Hubbys always looks like the box. I can’t wait t see pictures as it’s being built.

I don’t even try to draw what I want. I can barely draw a circle with a glass as a guide. I just tell them what I want and change it 47 times. lol

At least I haven’t totally changed the construction materials. I love the idea of that log and concrete cabin. They’ll be super safe in there!

Yes they will, it will last them forever too, and it’s going to be so cute 🙂 I was looking at the drawing and the logs are going to add a lot of character to it.
