Ballymurrin is Nearly Complete!

Are you sitting down? This is really big news! At times I wondered if I’d end up with ducks in the tub for the rest of my life. My sister’s duck still winters in their tub and Humphrey is 10 years old! After months (and months, and months) of planning, construction, delays, and dreaming Ballymurrin is nearly complete!

I'm a wife, mom, and grandma (known as Bam) who loves cooking, baking, gardening, and all things that go into making a cozy coop for my brood. I have a disability so you may pick up tips on how to do things when some things just don't work right!

  1. Note to self, not only eat BEFORE I come to your blog add to the list no drinking coffee while reading your posts because…”Being the calm type I was ready to scrap the whole project and eat Freckles and Penguin” almost made me spit out my coffee when I burst out laughing :):) Ballymurrin is shaping up so nicely Elizabeth. Y’all have done a wonderful job.

    1. LOL Those ducks will be much safer outside with potential predators than inside with me. If I get up hungry and go in to piddle I look at them and start creating recipes. Ballymurrin is everything I hoped it would be. And Mr. C keeps coming up with cool ideas to make it look even better. Now I just hope the township doesn’t come by and tell us to take it down!

      1. Technically ducks are livestock and we don’t have the legal acreage. But people around here don’t call in critters. We have chickens and a rooster behind us, rabbits, ducks, and a rooster next door, and turkeys and chickens just to the southeast.
